Delete Your Personal Data

At Meghambara, we respect your privacy and believe that your personal data should always remain within your control. If you ever wish to delete your data from our system, you can submit a request at any time. This page explains the entire process clearly and transparently.

Why This Page Exists

We want you to fully understand how your data is collected, used, and—if you choose—permanently deleted. Ensuring transparency and trust is a core part of our commitment to you.

What Data Will Be Deleted

When you submit a data deletion request, we permanently remove the following information:

  • Account details (name, email, phone number)
  • Profile information and saved addresses
  • Wishlist and cart data
  • Marketing preferences (newsletter subscriptions)
  • Any uploaded content (if applicable)

Note: In some cases, certain data must be retained temporarily due to legal or order-related requirements. In such situations, all personally identifiable information will be anonymized.

Data That May Not Be Fully Deleted

Due to legal, financial, or operational obligations, the following information may need to be retained for a limited period:

  • Order history and transaction records (tax/invoice requirements)
  • Payment processor transaction tokens
  • Return/refund-related documentation

All identifiable details in these records will be anonymized to protect your privacy.

How to Submit a Data Deletion Request

We’ve made the process simple and accessible:

1) You can submit your request by filling out the Data Deletion Form located at the bottom of this page.

Please include the following details in your email:

  • Full Name
  • Registered Email Address
  • Registered Phone Number (if applicable)
  • A clear statement: “I would like to permanently delete my account and personal data.”

Verification Process

For your safety, we will verify your identity before starting the deletion process. A confirmation email or OTP will be sent to your registered contact details.

How Long the Process Takes

Once verification is complete, your request is typically processed within 7 business days.
(Slight delays may occur due to legal or technical requirements.)

What Happens After Your Data Is Deleted

  • Your account will be permanently disabled
  • You will no longer be able to log in
  • Your order history will no longer be accessible
  • The deletion is permanent and cannot be reversed
  • You may create a new account anytime in the future
